T1 Glass integrates the core values of sustainability into our business strategy by prioritising environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices across its operations. We are committed to minimising our carbon footprint and promoting a positive ecological impact on our environment.

T1 Glass has committed to 6 of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and mapped it to our key sustainability pillars to address environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues.

We are committed to Environmental Stewardship by reducing our carbon footprint, enhancing energy efficiency, and minimising waste to make positive impacts on the environment. Through Community Engagement, we actively involve stakeholders to ensure our initiatives are inclusive and impactful, addressing local needs, promoting social equity, creating shared value, and building a more sustainable future together. Upholding strong Corporate Governance and Ethics is essential, which we achieve by implementing robust policies, defining clear roles and responsibilities, and maintaining regular oversight to prevent misconduct and promote ethical behaviour.

T1 Glass has committed to six of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), mapping them to our key sustainability pillars to address environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. While our sustainability efforts were not initially structured around the UNSDGs, we are gratified to discover our practices have consistently aligned with these important global objectives. These milestones highlight our unwavering commitment to sustainability and ethical business practices.

Pledging to Reduce Emission

In 2024, we pledge to Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi)* to meet the absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions reduction by 42% by 2030 from a 2023 base year, and to measure and reduce Scope 3 emissions by 90% by 2050. We are committed to reducing emissions and setting robust, credible targets in line with climate science. To achieve this, we will measure and record our emissions annually to ensure transparency and accountability in our progress towards these goals. Additionally, we have identified several plans to minimize our emissions and play our role in addressing climate change.

ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 certification

We also achieved ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 certifications this year, which further established our dedication to a holistic environmental management system. This certification considers all relevant environmental issues, ensuring our practices are sustainable and responsible. Consequently, our company policy has undergone a thorough review to align with the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001. A key focus of this certification allowed us to enhance our environmental performance consistently.

Pledging to LowCarbonSG

Helmed by the Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition (CPLC) Singapore, the decarbonisation arm of the UN Global Compact Network Singapore (UNGCNS), and supported by the National Environment Agency (NEA) and Enterprise Singapore (ESG), LowCarbonSG is a capability-building programme to enable local businesses in Singapore to start monitoring their carbon emissions and, where possible, reduce it.

To demonstrate our dedication to sustainability, T1 Glass started measuring and tracking our carbon emissions from the baseline year of 2023. Our carbon emissions are measured according to Scopes 1, 2 and 3 of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol. Our successful efforts in carbon footprinting have earned us prominent recognition as a LowCarbonSG company.

Eco-Office Champion Award

T1 Glass is proud to announce that we have been certified as an Eco-Office Champion by the Singapore Environment Council. This certification reflects our ongoing efforts to implement sustainable practices and reduce our environmental footprint.

We believe that by promoting green initiatives within our workplace, our company can contribute to a healthier planet and inspire others to do the same.

Our environmental stewardship extends to our office environment. We believe that the collective effort of each small act by every team member is crucial in making a positive environmental impact.
